Buying a bioclimatic pergola or a canopy is not a decision based solely on dimensions and colour. Every building is different and every outdoor space has its own characteristics — which is why professional consultation is one of the most important steps before finalising any solution.
At Soltec, we offer free consultation from the very first stage of planning. We visit clients on site or invite them to our showroom, where we work together to find the best solution for their space, needs and lifestyle. Get in touch →
What Does a Free On-Site Visit Include?
During a site visit, we do more than just measure the terrace. Our goal is to understand the entire property and all the factors that can affect the functionality, appearance and execution of the project.
During the visit, we typically assess:
- approximate dimensions and available space,
- access for installation and material delivery,
- condition and load-bearing capacity of the ground,
- building facade and attachment options,
- eaves, roof finishes and drainage,
- balconies, corners and other architectural features,
- materials on the building,
- orientation of the terrace in relation to the sun,
- wind exposure and weather conditions,
- rainwater drainage options,
- potential obstacles for ZIP roller blinds, glass walls or sliding panels.
Many details can only be observed on site. These details often determine which solution will be best in the long run.

Why Does the Site Visit Matter?
Photos and floor plans are an excellent starting point, but they don’t always tell the full story.
On site, we can quickly determine whether a wall-mounted or freestanding configuration makes sense, whether the structure can be anchored into the existing substrate, what drainage details are needed and how to ensure optimal sun protection throughout the day.
This approach reduces the likelihood of unexpected complications during installation and allows for a more accurate quotation. See how we approach such projects in practice — in our project archive you will find completed projects from Slovenia, Croatia and Austria.
Showroom Consultation: Experience the Products in Real Life
Many clients choose a showroom visit as their first step.
The advantage of the showroom is that you can see the products at full scale, check materials, compare accessories and get a much better feel for how the system works.
In the showroom, you can see and try:
- different types of bioclimatic pergolas — from the compact SL 170/28 to the spacious SL 240/60,
- ZIP roller blinds,
- sliding and folding panels,
- LED lighting,
- control and automation systems,
- structural details and materials.
A showroom visit also gives you a sense of how the company works. Clients can meet the team, tour the production facility and see for themselves that every project is backed by a company with its own development and manufacturing.
Showroom in Graz for Austrian Clients
To be closer to our clients in Austria, we have opened a showroom in Graz.
Austrian investors, architects and partners can now see the products without making the longer journey to Slovenia. As in Dobova, expert consultation is available, products can be seen in person and project options can be discussed in detail.
Which Type of Consultation Is Right for You?
Both options have their merits.
If you would first like to explore products and compare different solutions — for example, choosing between a bioclimatic pergola and a canopy, or looking into carport options — we recommend a showroom visit.
If you already have a specific project in mind and want more targeted advice, an on-site visit is the best way to find the right solution together. Find inspiration in our project archive.
