Type FPE

Shutters with extended aligment with guides.

This is a shading system where individual panels are attached to a mechanism with specialised hinges.
When the shutters are closed, the integrant panels can cover the guides entirely. Profiles are made from aluminium and parts from stainess steel.
This system allows the shutters to be always aligned with the facade and can cover the whole facade.

Type FPE M

Motorized variant of FPE. Linear motors are used in the Driving mechanism of motorised folding stutters.

Soltec Folding Panel System, Model FPE-M – General Product Description

The Soltec FPE-M is an advanced folding panel façade and shading system designed to deliver dynamic solar control, clean façade articulation and complete concealment of vertical guides when closed. The system is engineered for continuous exterior use and can be configured according to project-specific performance and aesthetic requirements.

Construction
Panels can be manufactured with an aluminium perimeter frame in profile type L44 or Q30, depending on the architectural concept. Movement is supported by precision-engineered roller assemblies combined with stainless-steel (INOX) connection hardware, ensuring long-term stability and corrosion resistance. All aluminium components can be powder-coated in any RAL or NCS colour, while stainless-steel parts remain uncoated.

Drive System
Each pair of panels can be powered by a 24 V DC linear motor integrated into a fully concealed arm mechanism positioned above the panel pair. The mechanism remains hidden in both open and closed positions and enables:
• individual control of each panel pair,
• synchronised operation of multiple panel groups.
The motor arm also functions as a structural wind-stabilising element, providing enhanced resistance to dynamic wind loads compared to conventional folding shutter systems.

Operation
The linear motor enables smooth movement from a flush, closed façade alignment to a fully open position without any lateral projection beyond the façade line. The system supports the combination of fixed, manual and motorised panels within the same elevation, without any visible distinction on the exterior.

Guide Concealment
Panels can be mounted with a fixed offset of 72 mm from the guide line, ensuring that vertical guides remain fully concealed when the panels are closed, creating a uniform façade appearance.

Infill Options
Panel infills can be selected to match the architectural intent, including:
• aluminium sheet (solid or perforated),
• natural wood panels,
• metal sheets in various patterns and perforations.

Dimensions and Configuration
Panels can be produced up to a maximum dimension of 600 mm (width) × 3600 mm (height). Up to six panels can be integrated into a single folding assembly, offering extensive design flexibility for façade composition.

Type FPC

This is a system of folding shutters where the panels are attached to a mechanism within the panel’s frame. The guide is installed above the panel visible, if not integrated into the loggia ceiling. Profiles are made from aluminium. Other metal parts are from stainless steel.
